Gym Remote Logo

Press Release

August 4, 2020–Toledo, Ohio– A logo designed by Mireles Design founder, Jesse Mireles, has been selected for LogoLounge Book12. In each edition of the prestigious LogoLounge Book publishes 2500 of the world's best logo designs. Over the years, Mireles has had multiple logo designs published in various editions of the Logo Lounge International Identity Books and the Masters Series Books.

The chosen design is for Gym Remote, a California based startup that resells gym equipment and gym accessories. The company targets fitness buffs who want to build a remote gym or spaces away from traditional, brick-and-mortar gyms. “Gym Remote is a reseller, and is not in competition with conventional retailers,” stated Mireles. “So I intentionally developed the design not to look corporate, but to have a grungy, street-level visual identity,” he added. The inclusion in Logo Lounge Book 12 is an honor, according to Jesse Mireles. “Logo Lounge showcases the work of the best identity designers internationally, and I feel very privileged to be in their company for this edition,” said Mireles.

25 years of artist's logos showcased by Metroparks

Jesse Mireles is a Mexican-born, Toledo-raised artist whose work is familiar to many area residents, even if his face isn't.

For the past 25 years, he's been the hand behind most of the logos associated with the Metroparks Toledo, images that have appeared on area billboards, advertisements, T-shirts, television commercials, stationery, newsletters, pamphlets, and magazines.

A sampling of his exhaustive output is on display through March at the National Center for Nature Photography in the park district's 600-acre Secor Metropark at 10001 West Central Ave., near Berkey. The exhibit called "25 Years 25 Logos: A Retrospective of Logo Designs by Jesse Mireles."
