The Battle of Fallen Timbers logo was designed for the celebration of the bicentennial of the historic 1794 battle between American Forces and American Indians for control of the Northwest Territory. Metroparks Toledo used the logo on literature and promotions for the various events that featured presentations by historians and dignitaries from across the country.

In advance of the historic battle, the American forces burned Indian encampments on their way to the battle site. This design centers on fire as a weapon of the conflict.

This logo is published in the 2020 Logo Lounge 12: 2,000 International Identities by Leading Designers released in 2020.

This Gym Remote logo is for an online site for reselling gym equipment and gym accessories to fitness buffs who have a home gym or who want to build a remote gym at home or at an alternative space away from traditional, brick and mortar gyms.

Since the company is not in competition with traditional retail or big box outlets the design direction called for a more street level identity, leaning more toward graffiti and less corporate.

This logo is for a consulting firm whose client base is non-profit, community based organizations. Voice Ohio helps clients develop actionable strategies for achieving political, economic and social justice.

Typographically, the design exploits the centered, lowercase i in the word voice, by doting the i with a flame. The i is thereby converted into a candle. The flame symbolizes the light of hope that emerges when people speak or voice their ideas for change.

The flame also symbolizes the energy that can be ignited from their clients’ work as advocates of underserved populations. 

The GlobalWorks System logo was designed for an international consulting firm whose client base is mostly in the heath care industry. The company provides customization of software and IT services for organizations with small to large technology infrastructures.

Client's request was that the logo not be slick, but to have the look and feel of a hands-on, strong work ethic organization. The logo is designed to identify as retro, proletariat and industrious.  

This design is for Parlan Financial, a firm that offers comprehensive financial planning to high net worth individuals. The design plays with the idea that a well managed investment can yield fruitful earnings in the future.

This utterly simple design, is a logo created to have a corporate look. The firm, Allen Writes, specializes in developing content for its corporate clients. As a design element, the missing stem in the i of the word writes symbolically represents the missing language and creative writing that Allen Writes composes for white papers, websites, ghost writing, translations, corporate communications, etc. The missing stem also produces a negative space and creates a point of interest of the design. Univers Bold is the font used in part because the dot, or the title of the lower case i is square, symbolically representing digital type. All content delivered to clients of Allen Writes is ultimately digitally produced.

The founding of my clients' consulting firm was conceived at their residence on Francisco Street, San Francisco CA. This identity centers on the initial letter F in the name Francisco because it provides a strong design element for a firm positioned to serve a multifaceted client base from various industries. 

This design was crafted by altering the Nuptial Script cap letter F to make it bolder and more dominant inside the round, blue field. It required an extensive search for a letter F with a touch of flare, befitting the name Francisco. With a little adjustment, the F was made to flow gracefully from outside the blue field into the circle. 

As the logo suggests, Francisco Street is a consulting firm from which flow sound, creative business solutions. 

All Breed Kennels offers boarding, grooming and daycare services for dogs and cats. This design interprets how curious pets often greet their humans and other visitors by peering over gates and barriers.

This logo was designed for a black tie fundraising affair, hosted by Metroparks Toledo. Proceeds from the event were used for wet land restoration at Pearson Metropark, located in the heart of the original Great Black Swamp of Ohio.

The design of frogs decked out in formal garb takes advantage of the the black tie theme allowing the one color application of black. 

The Energy Saver mark is a symbol used to promote a culture that conserves energy at Metroparks Toledo. By posting the design for instance, next to light switches it can remind staff to turn lights off when an office is empty.

This logo is a Best of Show winner at the Women in Communications competition, Toledo Chapter.

This logo was published in the Logo Lounge Master Library, Volume 2: 3000 Animal & Mythology Logos.  

The logo was designed to encourage dog walkers to visit Metroparks Toledo. The design reflects the idea that humans and their dogs can live in harmony with nature. The design was used in literature and the media in an outreach program. 

The headquarters of the Olander Park District is in a serene park abundant with wildlife. The focal point of the park is a picturesque lake that invites various recreational opportunities.

This mark design features a stylized graphic of a Canada Goose, the dominant fauna in the park. 

One of the parks in the Olander Park System is Fossil Park. It is an abandoned lime stone quarry where visitors, many of them children, can dig for fossils of prehistoric marine life.

This is a colorful graphic design of a trilobite, one of the most plentiful and most popular fossils found in the park. The color scheme is child friendly, ideal for printing on tee shirts, ball caps and other mementos.   

This is one of several Autumn Adventure design themes, each one produced yearly to promote visits to various parks of Metroparks Toledo during the fall season.

This theme was to encourage visitors to walk or run the trails while they take in the colors of autumn as a family. 

This design was for a Metroparks Toledo award program that recognizes staff members for exceptional achievements. 

The E in the word LEAF is replaced with a gold leaf design so as to be mindful of the natural orientation of the Metroparks organization.

The Happy Trails logo was designed to identify a 5K race sponsored by Metroparks Toledo. Each year the race is hosted at one of it's beautiful Metroparks. Proceeds from the race go to maintain walking, running and biking trails in the park district.

The purpose for the Leaf People logo was to print the design on tee shirts, ball caps and other children's apparel. It is also used for print and on line promotional applications.

The Miami & Erie Canal logo was designed to promote canal boat rides and tours of a restored section of the historic Miami & Erie Canal in Grand Rapids OH. Located in Providence Metropark, the restored canal features rides on a horse drawn replica of a passenger historical canal boat. 

This wood cut design attempts to reflect the era when canal boat transportation was common in the United States.

The Mardi Gras logo was designed as an identity for a Mardi Gras themed fundraising event for Metroparks Toledo. It was applied to invitations, media packages and general promotions.

Arching cap letters A and M make an elegant initial design for the name Allen Mireles. The design merges both letters but also reflects Allen Mireles' business model that combines and intersects traditional marketing with social media. 

This design was developed for Kefaya Social Capital, a New York- based social capital firm that works to help generate investments for creating sustainable communities in poor and emerging world markets. This logo design was composed with a series of chevrons emulating indigenous art and with a corresponding color scheme.

The Diamond Jubilee logo is for a 1920s theme, black tie fundraiser for Metroparks Toledo. The logo design picks up on the dress fashions and hair styles of the period, the Roaring 20s.

This logo mark was a concept created for Mireles Design to target the Hispanic market. It is crafted with the typeface Mojo. The cap L is black, then a second cap L rotated 180 degrees is green. Rotated so it is upside down, facing left, the green L works as a cap letter G.

The design creates an initial mark for the name LogoGrafico. Mojo was the typestyle chosen because it is an ornamental font to make this mark simulate glyphs and motifs common in Hispanic designs.

The Autumn Adventure 2010 design reflects the dramatic changes that happen in nature in the fall. The design is printed on tee shirts and sold to participants who walk or run designated trails across parks of Metroparks Toledo. 

The design is also used on various promotional materials to invite visitors to enjoy the fall ambiance and to view the abundant wildlife in their natural habitat.

The Welcome Back Walleye logo was designed to promote a weekend of family activities at Side Cut Metropark during the spring walleye spawning run. Large numbers of fishermen fish for migrating walleye in the same location where American Indians once fished before Europeans settled in Ohio. The design attempts to incorporate Native American art influences.  

This logo was designed to promote the Curious Naturalist program for young children. The program included nature walks to learn about the living habits of native wildlife that lives in the various habitats Metroparks Toledo and in open areas in northwest Ohio. The design features the face of a raccoon, one of the curious critters that resides the park district.

This design for the Toledo Ballet is of a female ballet dancer in a classical dance position dancing with colorful flowing streamers in each hand, to show movement and grace. The type, a casual sans serif script contributes to the airy feel of the design.

The Autumn Adventure 2002 logo was designed to focus on the river Metroparks located along the Maumee River. The fall design features the ruins of the historic rail bridge at Farnsworth Metropark. The logo was printed on teeshirts and promotional materials that invited the public to walk or run the trails in various parks in the Metroparks Toledo trail system.  

The EcoCentric logo was designed for a Metroparks Toledo program that worked to reduce the daily energy costs throughout the Metroparks District. The program goal was also to employ systems that are ecologically friendly, including replacing gas powered carts and machinery with those run by battery power. 

The circular leaf element in the design and the use of the color green help to advance the eco friendly and recycling goals of the program.
